Home isn’t just a building

Home is not just a building, it's a place where my family is. My home is a peaceful and cozy place to be because it's quiet and my blankets and pillows I sleep on are comfortable. My home is unique and fun because I can play boardgames, video games and Pool with my Aunt, Mom and Dad in my home. What I love about my home is my mom and dads cooking rice and chicken in the kitchen while I lay on the couch and watch TV. Home is where l play on my VR and watch movies with my family on Friday nights. Home means when my cat comes and meows at me every morning. Home is a place where my whole family lives together and laughs. Home is my safe place where I come back after being out all day. It's a place which protects me on rainy and stormy days. It is a place where I can be who I am without being judged or being bullied. Home is a space where I am free and I pray to connect with God the way I want. My house becomes a home because my whole family gets together every Friday to have dinner together. We laugh, play games and watch movies especially on snowy days. What makes a house especially into a home are the memories which we make together that cannot be taken away even if you renovate the house. Home is not just a building because you can move to different houses but it becomes a home because you are with your mom, dad, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and grandparents. It's a place where you can be at peace, rest and sleep with or without feeling emotional. Somes houses may look the same from outside but are different on the inside based on the family that lives there. Inside the house there are different feelings and energy which are based on the people that live together making it into a home. Home is not just a building because its your family that make a house into a home.
