What home means to me.
What home means to me…
By: Sarisha B
In the morning light, where the shadows softly creep,
A heaven awakens, where memories sleep.
Walls wrapped in laughter, and whispers of care,
Every crack in the plaster holds a secret we share.
The kitchen’s alive, with scents that we embrace,
Cookies and spices, a warm, loving place.
Together as we gather, around the long table,
sharing stories as we’re able.
As laughter fills the room, memories are savored, and joy starts to loom.
The living room is comfortable, soft pillows around,
And the walls are covered with priceless memories,
Where whispers of joy dance like the softest breeze.
Where laughter echoes, like soft sweet melodies,
And each thought is supported,
Home is a place where everything is respected.
Where kindness abounds and every little voice accepted.
Then there’s my room, my sanctuary sweet,
Where soft colours blend, and my heart feels complete,
A cozy safe spot where worries defeat.
A peaceful retreat, where my dreams gently broom.
Home isn't just bricks or a roof overhead,
It’s the warmth of togetherness, the words that we've said.
Through trials and triumphs, we stand hand in hand,
In the heart of our family, forever we’ll stand.
So here's to the nights filled with love and with tears,
To the laughter, the hugs, and embracing our fears.
For home is that feeling, where our hearts interlace,
A bond that is timeless, our true, sacred place. - Sarisha
