A Home is Full of Memories

My home is a place where I always feel happy, peaceful, and comfortable. It’s filled with love, laughter, excitement, and unity. Home isn’t just a building that protects us from storms or cold weather and it’s a warm and special place where my family connects, supports one another, and creates lasting memories together. The moment I walk through the door, I feel safe, calm, and cared for. Family is the most important part of my life because the love and encouragement my family gives me makes me feel as fierce as a lion. In our home we never say,”I can’t do it”, instead we motivate each other to keep trying, even when things feel difficult. We believe that with practice, patience, and determination, we can achieve our goals. My parents remind me that mistakes help us learn and grow stronger every day. I have a younger brother who is three years old, and I’m eleven, and even though there is a big age difference between us, we share a close bond. Like all siblings, we sometimes argue over small things, but we forgive each other quickly. We’re like two peas in a pod, always laughing and having fun. My home is also a place where I feel safe to express myself and I can talk openly to my parents when I feel upset and they always listen with understanding. We speak both Telugu and English and love to celebrate fun cultural festivals together with joy. The kitchen is my favourite place because my mom is an amazing cook and she makes delicious food like dosa and pav bhaji. The smell fills the whole house which makes me feel refreshed. A Family is Always Better Together Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for making the world a better place!
