Meaning of Home

Home is a safe place where I can come home from school and talk to my family about anything I want. I can go to my bedroom and play with all my toys or with my hamster, Alvin. Home has so many different flavours like my mom’s chicken that can be teriyaki, chipotle or spicy. Home is a place where every Saturday night you can go downstairs to a family, cuddling up in your special blanket, watching a movie with popcorn and drinks. Home is where you celebrate special holidays with your whole family, like Christmas and your birthday. Home is a place where you can hang out with your friends and play catch in your backyard, waiting for a barbecue party. Home is an anchor, a shield, and even a place to hide from reality. So, thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving people who need a home a home.
