The Meaning of Home

My home is where I feel safe, happy, loved and cared for. My home is where I feel like I can do anything and where I feel unstoppable. Home for me is where I make memories with my friends and family. Home is where I know my belly will be full, where I know I’ll have a place to sleep, and where I can be sure of the fact that I will have loving parents who will help me get through life’s hardships. Home is where I know I can try new things and trust myself while doing them, home is also where I know I can make mistakes and be forgiven for them. I have the feeling of home inside me when I go to my grandpa’s house to visit and eat food. When I’m there, I also play games with my uncle who is one of my favorite people in the world. Some of the things I love about my home are my stuffed elephant Pinky who I’ve had by my side for a long time and my sister who is a joy to have in my life. My parents are also awesome and are very loving and kind to me and my sister. All these people are irreplaceable to me, and I love them very much. At home I learn things like how to cook and clean and how a family should feel like when I have one someday. I’m very grateful that things like Habitat for Humanity exist because without them lots of people might not have a home that is fit for their needs or requirements. But thanks to them lots of people get to have a house and are also able to make all kinds of memories in them.
