What is Home and What is a House?

Home is somewhere or something that makes you feel safe and peaceful. A house is four walls, a roof, windows, and doors. Home is the smell of your mom cooking dinner over the stove. Home is your family, friends, or pets greeting you when you get back from school. A house is just a building that has a roof. A house is something that you see, home is something that you feel. Home can not be found on the map, but a house is found everywhere on a map. A house doesn’t have a connection to you in any way 100% of the time, but I guarantee you that your home has a connection with you in some way. Home is you cuddling with your favourite stuffed animal while falling asleep. A house is something that is not home yet, a house is something that you can turn into home. Home is your favourite place in the world to go to. A house is somewhere you go and not feel that sense of peacefulness and safety. Home could be school or the smell of the bread in the bread section of the grocery store. A house is somewhere where if you walk in, it feels like anywhere else in the world ( besides home ). If you don’t have to have just one home, you could have as many homes as you want. As you can see, home could be anything you feel safe with but a house is just a building and it doesn’t really matter to you and you don’t feel any connection with it.
