Habitat for Humanity Essay Contest - Writing about Home Written By: Samuel Gartner I will be writing about Habitat for Humanity - an amazing organization that builds and gives homes to those in need and why I love my home. Habitat for Humanity has provided homes for over one million people, and has been helping people for a long time. They have received millions of dollars in donations and they have a big goal. Habitat for Humanity has a goal of providing safe homes for all. I love my home because of the familiarity, being surrounded by things that make me feel safe. I love how my home gives me a safe feel and makes me feel secure. My home holds sentimental value to me because I have so many memories of friends, family, and pets. I have been living in my home for 11 years now, and I am 12. My home is not too big, or too small, but just right. I live in Redcliff, Alberta and love every part. My community is wonderful as we have paved bike paths, a park, wonderful neighbors, and an amazing view. Home is important to me because I have somewhere to sleep, eat, and grow. I have family who support me and encourage me. I can feel safe knowing that my home will keep me safe. All people should have homes where they feel the same. Everyone should have a home to live in, and Habitat for Humanity is trying to make that dream come true to anyone who does not have a safe place to live. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for all you do.
