Home is Safe

Home is not just a place. It's somewhere I can run when I'm scared. The smell of warm pizza in my kitchen smells so fresh I feel safe. I eat pizza with my family because it makes me feel safe. Home is getting to hold my new baby brother. Home is a place where I hear laughter and joy through the air. Home is a place where I can snuggle up by the fire and drink hot chocolate. Home is a place where my siblings are there to welcome me when I come back home. My bedroom, when I am in it, feels safe. My bedroom smells like freedom and I have a roommate to keep me company. My living room feels safe when I do jigsaw puzzles with my family. My basement, when I’m in it I feel safe. When me and my family are in the basement we play friendly games and everybody gets a turn. And my bathroom, when I’m in it I feel safe, because me and my family have spa days with masks and nail polish (for the girls). My pets keep me company when my siblings are busy. I have 2 guinea pigs that are cute and I have a little black Affenpinscher and she is 11 years old.This is my meaning of home and thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for setting this up.
