What Home Means to Me
For some people, home is a place to stay with walls as well as a roof. No other meaning. I think they are very wrong. For me and I hope for others too, home should be a place to belong. Home is where there’s warmth and where memories are made.
To some people, home is a quiet, sad, and boring place. To me, home is the sound of music, laughter, and play. It’s the smell of special Asian cuisine and candles.
Some people think home is a blank unhappy world. I think that home is a colorful, energetic, and happy world.
I, as well as many others, have experienced change. Home to me had once been different. When I first moved into my home, I felt lost and confused. But now I feel safe, comfortable, and most importantly I feel like I belong.
To all those people who see a home as a dark, bland world, I hope that soon, one day that will change and that one day they will find the home they need.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping so many people find their place to belong and find joy, especially when they needed it most.
