Home To Me
Home to me
Home is not a house for me,
It’s not something you really see.
Not any specific place,
it’s a feeling I don’t want to waste.
It’s not my toys, my books, my room,
it’s the people, it’s the whom.
Everyone should have a home.
Even the people in ancient Rome.
Habitat for Humanity does that.
They help the people who don’t have space for their doormat.
They build houses for homeless,
they teach to care.
They build houses for the needy,
who can’t sleep anywhere.
Home is the people,
the Mom and the Dad.
It’s the place you want to be so bad.
You should feel comfort,
you should feel safe.
Home is a family,
that gives joy to every place.
They should help you,
they should be kind.
They should forgive you
all of the time.
Home’s not a building,
not made of rubble.
It’s the people that will help you out of trouble.
It’s the family that builds home.
It’s the love that you feel,
a feeling you’re known.
So that is what home means to me.
It’s the place that you feel free.
