Home Isn’t Just A Building

Home isn’t just a building where I sleep. Home is a place filled with tons of loving family memories. Home is a place where everyday after school, there's a loving family waiting to give me a hug or a kiss. Home is a place filled with tons of happiness, like when I play Lego with my sisters, when we jump on our trampoline outside, or when we play Monopoly in teams. At home, it’s a safe place to cry, at home, there's no need for me to be shy. At home, it’s safe for me to be myself, there's no one judging me, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s like there's a shield protecting me from all of my worries or anything that might hurt me. When I walk in our hallway, I can see snapshots of our family adventures. Every photo tells a special story about the things we did together like birthdays, vacations, and holidays. In the kitchen, there’s an enchanting smell coming from my mom’s cooking for my family's dinner, while me and my sisters are playing Uno. A home isn’t about the color of the walls, or what the furniture looks like too, it’s about all the memories that we had there together, so you should be happy you have a home with tons of family fun, because it’s not something everybody else has too. With Habitat for Humanity’s help, over 8500 people now have affordable homeownership and a decent place to live!
