Home

Home is a strong word. One that brings back many memories and emotions. One that can have feelings and thoughts linked to it. A home is more than just a house. It’s more than a few walls and a roof. More than a few floors and some windows. You have to make a home a home. You have to share it with family and friends. Build memories and secure them in its heart. Feel comfortable and recognize the familiarness of it all. My family is really important to me. I always know that there is someone there for me and someone that I can talk to about anything. Family is a huge part of life because they are the people who will calm you and comfort you. They are the people who support you and listen to you. They are the people who will love you. Memories help to build a home. They add character. Every dent and every scratch has a story to tell. My home is filled to the brim with memories like the time when my little brother set off the alarm and the time when I attempted to jump off the railing. All homes have happy memories and all homes have sad ones. Though all of these memories make you who you are. The comfort of a home is like no other. It’s the feeling of being safe and relaxed, and not having to worry about anything. Snuggling under blanket after blanket trapped in a place where nothing can get to you. The comfort of a whole other world surrounds you when you're at home in peace. Sitting on the wood vent with my little brother as warm air streams out of it and surrounds us like a warm blanket on a cold day. A tight hug from a family member and the cushiness of my dads chair. The soft grass on a summer day and a lady bug crawling up your arm with tiny ticklish feet. These feelings are so familiar to me. The delicious taste of blueberry muffins straight from the oven and the mouth watering cinnamon buns my mom makes. The taste of my moms chicken with my favorite seasoning. The taste of watermelon and popsicles on a hot summer day and the taste of hot chocolate and soup on a cold winter day. These tastes are so familiar to me. The sounds of birds chirping, dogs barking, lawnmowers running, and people talking in the summer. The silence of snow falling on a winter morning when no one else is awake yet. The annoying creak of my bedroom floor and the sounds of my family laughing. These sounds are so familiar to me. The sight of a beautiful sunrise peeking through the trees and feeling like you're trapped in a snow globe as I watch the snow through my window. The sight of my friends running across the street to ring my doorbell and seeing my relatives happily gathering on a holiday. These sights are so familiar to me. I think that everyone deserves to have a home because no matter how many wrongs they have or how many mistakes they make, everyone has feelings and maybe just maybe those people that you and others call villains just haven't shared their thoughts and stories yet.
