When I am Home

The moment I step inside my home, I am greeted by the loving people in my family. When I am home, I can see all my pets cuddled up by the crackling wood stove. When I am home, I feel safe and loved. Home is the place where I am free. It sounds like wood tiles creaking on the floor, dogs barking and cats purring in my home. It smells like the moment you open the oven door, and that first whiff of food fills the entire house. It looks like family pictures on the way, showing us memories of our life together. When I am home, I know where I belong. Home is the place where I am free.
