The Meaning of Home

Home is more than bricks and blankets to me. Home is where I can lay on the couch and snuggle with my dog . My family just moved from one side of the world to the other. It was hard for my family but we had each other and we struggled through and we got through it together as a family. Home is where my mom is making wonderful foods and big meals. Home is where you can sit by the fire and play games with your family and laugh together, have fun together and be a family together. My dog is who makes my life complete. I don’t know what I would do without him. My life feels more welcome and safe when we are around him. Home is where you can be whoever you want to be. Home is where you can be free. The home I have is a cozy spot to lay down and thank my family and friends for being people that I can trust and open up to when I feel sad or alone. Home is where we sit at the diner table and talk about our day. Home is a place where you can feel safe and loved. I am so so grateful that I have a house where I can do all of those things together with my family.
