The Meaning of Home

What does “Home” mean to you? Well for me home means a safe and cozy spot to go if you're not having a great day. To me my home feels: calm, safe, happy, funny, peaceful, caring, and thoughtful. I have so many memories in my house but one of my favourite ones is, when my mother makes nachos for dinner me and my older sister always take the chips before it’s ready. It’s really funny but my mother doesn’t think it’s funny. Who makes home meaningful to you? For me it's both my parents, sister, and pets. For example when I'm not having the best day my dogs are always there from when I wake up in the morning, to when I fall asleep at night. When I’m at my house I learn and discover so many new things! But one of the best ones is every year on christmas eve my family goes over to my cousins house and we do some Czech Republic traditions that they would do in the Czech Republic on christmas so my uncle would feel like he was back there for christmas. One of the traditions they do is where you have to cut an apple right through the core and if the seeds are in a star shape you will get good luck for christmas. I think I am very lucky that I have a loving and warm home to go to. I hope in the future I am as close to my family as I am now.
