Meaning of Home

Home is more than a square building with a triangle top. It is a place filled with amazing memories, comfort and family. When I think about home I feel sporty, loved and safe all day long no matter what. To me home means me being safe, loved and sporty. It is knowing that when you walk through the door after a long exhausting day of sports, your mom is there waiting to give you a hug and knowing there's nothing better in the world than that. These small things might seem normal but it is what makes my home feel safe, loving and sporty. Home also means the people that you live with. These people make me feel special and sporty. My family also helps me get through tough times. Even if we're just playing mini sticks or having a meal together, maybe even just watching a hockey game. Even though these things might seem boring to you it is what makes home more than a building with a triangle top. It is the people that care and love me. Home is also a place where I learn and mature. It is a place where I learn new sports, grow up and become the best person possible. I learn to simply shoot a hockey puck properly and I practice the saxophone. In every corner in my house I've learned something new or practiced for the first time. These are all of the reasons why I believe home is more than just a building with a triangle top. Also for the future I hope my home stays like this and that yours and everyone else's feel like this. So they can come home to a comforting nice place to sleep.
