Home is Special for Me

How special is home to you? Let me tell you how much home means to me. To me, home is not just a building with walls and floors. It is a place filled with love. Home is a place where memories can be made when my caring sister plays with me, and when my loving parents help me. Maybe at first glance, your home is built with bricks, but after you step inside, every single brick has a joyful moment held deep within it. There might be little fights sometimes, but those little fights are nothing compared to your happiest times. Everyone has a unique feeling about their home, but it doesn’t matter, because home is where you feel comfortable and secure. Honestly, I’m a very different person outside my home! Do you start your morning with a drink? Think about all those people who don’t have a home at all. They probably start their morning not having anything and worrying about the weather and the challenges they may face today. Kids like us can help them by respecting them and by recognizing the many obstacles that life has put in their path. When I was new to Canada, I was very scared. But Canada welcomed me and I have continued to embrace my culture in my home while I am learning about Canadian traditions too. These are the reasons why my home is special to me and I am so fortunate to have it. My home is a place where I’m destined to be. I think everyone deserves a place to call home so thank you to the people who help those who don’t have a home. I wish everyone in this world could be as lucky as me.
