Home sweet home

Home is not just where we live, it's where love lives too. It's a place where you feel safe and loved. When you walk in, the first thing you hear is my dog running down the stairs ready to greet me. Our kitchen smells of mom’s cooking and the big wood table is where we sit around as a family and read the bible after meals. Our living room is the place where you can share laughter and play games with family or snuggle up and watch a movie. The pictures on our walls are like screen shots, full of all our memories. Our playroom is the place where you can rebuild relationships after fighting with your siblings. The big wide stairs leading up to my bedroom is where you can always rely on a foot slip or two. My bedroom is where you can build lego sets with your dad and talk about important stuff. My cozy bed is like a big hug where I feel safest. My unfinished basement is where you zoom around on toy cars and play mini sticks after school. Down the hall in a small room, is the growth chart on the wall. It captures your growth since you were just a small kid. Outside is my favourite, full of farm animals and a noisy pond filled with frogs. In the summer we swim with friends in our pool and race around on our bikes. In the cold winters, we play hockey on the rink my dad builds for us. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making this world a better place.
