Meaning of Home

Do you have that one place in your life, where, when you go there you feel free and relaxed? Well I do, and for me it’s my home. Sometimes, I’m not always free and relaxed to do whatever I want whenever I want. I also get busy with going to places, but when I do, I have so much fun and make new memories with my family. Now, at home, it’s not always joyful with rainbows and lollipops, sometimes we also argue. But after we do, we learn new lessons as to not repeat those again. Whenever I come back home from a long day of school, I feel relieved because it sounds so calm and peaceful, in my headquarters, aka my living room. Sometimes though, in the middle of the day it gets really loud, because we all have so much fun laughing and celebrating. But that loudness makes new memories, that stick with us forever. To me, home is a place that keeps me and my family protected and sheltered. When I think of home, I remember all of the good memories we’ve had, like movie nights, getting takeout, celebrating, having board game nights and cooking with my mom. At home, the smell of food makes me feel comfortable, and makes me recall things I’ve done a long time ago. These thoughts make me remember the people I live with, the people I love.
