Where I Belong

What does home mean to me? Home is more than a place to live, more than a word. Home is a place where everything happens, where you grow up and face great challenges, spend time with your family and friends, and where you feel like you can be yourself. Sometimes it's nice to have a big room or a large play area, but if your house was big or small, would it change what's in it? What matters to me is what's in the home, like my family. My family taught me many things in my home, like how to walk and how to talk. Being with my family is amazing, especially when we play games or watch movies all together. I also enjoy it when my friends come to my house. I enjoy it more, compared to when I go to their house because my home is calm and comforting. Home can be a place to think, feel lots of emotions, and your own personal space. Sometimes I enjoy space, when I'm sad or hurt, I'm happy to have a room. It gives me the space I need to think about what happened. Home can also be comforting, like when you want to just go to your living room and relax, or home can be upbeat, fun, and exciting, like board game night or movie night. This all happens at home. In the end, home is a great place to be yourself and be with people you love the most. Without a home I have no idea of where I would be today, that's what home means to me.
