My Safe Base ❤️‍🩹🌷

My home is where it's never cold, my home is where it never has snow, my home is where I think about those dreams I am going to accomplish, it's where I talk with my family about how I am doing! It isn't just about those days where you tripped outta nowhere! For me, my family is not just about love, but also about trust. It's about me fighting for the bathroom everyday with my siblings, also sneaking midnight snacks with my brother. If I were to be honest, my home is in Bangladesh because that’s where I was born. That's where my grandma, uncles, cousins and more relatives are but really, also it has familiar foods and delicious smells from the kitchen. I used to play around there with no worries. What really makes my home special is that madness, the kids playing and running around, and the people around me. The lunch time food is always the best. I used to get tired everyday and doze off at night as soon as I laid down in the bed to sleep. Then I think about those activities I did all day, and that I am exactly where I belong. If it weren't for my mother and father and everything they’ve done for me I wouldn't have my home, also if it weren't for them I wouldn't be breathing right now, and they are helping me slowly get adjusted to this new home in Canada. I would like to thank Habitat For Humanity for creating this program and helping people find where they belong. Belonging is a great thing and I have found myself at home here in Canada and really now I know where I belong.
