Home is Everything

Everyone's family is different, but my family is something. My home is caring, supportive, loving because of the family. I love to come home from school and smell my mom’s loving cookies. When I am home I can feel all my feelings without getting judged. When I feel angry or even happy, I like going to my room and playing with my dog. What makes my home a home is my mom’s hugs and the love I can see all around. Home is where you are surrounded by the people (and pets) who love and support you. It is a "home" where you are noticed and where you belong. In a home, you feel free to be yourself, express your culture, and even "let things off your shoulders" when life gets difficult. Feeling home is just like biting into a big warm beautiful chocolate chip cookie. You feel warmth and happiness. I know home is home because I hear kids talking, and my mom asking me “how was your day” and dogs barking. Home is a safe place to be who you are.
