What Home Means to Me

To me, home is a place where you can feel safe. Where I can sit in a cozy blanket, watching the snow fall with my family. A place I can go in my comfortable bed and read a book. Home is a place I can smell my mom making hot chocolate on a cold, snowy day. My home is where my family is. Where I can sit on my white desk, doing art, or just thinking. Home isn’t just a place to live, it’s a place to make memories, and where I can feel comfortable being myself. Home is like a shield that protects you from bad weather, and other dangerous things. That’s why I’m glad Habitat for Humanity is helping families make their own memories. That is what home means to me.
