What Home Means to Me

Home is a special place. Home is where you can hear your family chatting and laughing happily. Home is where you can hear your Dad playing loud music in the basement. Home is where you can hear your pets as they attempt to destroy the house. Home is where you can see your pet running up to the door as you come in. Home is where you can smell your favourite food cooking, and at home you can smell the comforting scent of your home (And food). At home you can smell your Dad trying to get a new recipe correct. Home is where you get the biggest, warmest hugs from your family. Home is where you feel your soft clean bed. Home is where you get cuddles from your pets, family and stuffies. At home all the doors are locked and you can sleep safely and calmly. Home is where you can make happy memories like when you got your first pet. At home you can connect with friends and family. At home you can celebrate your traditions. Home is where you can taste and smell freshly baked homemade muffins. At home you feel loved, cared for, and supported. At home you feel like you belong. Home is a place where you can express yourself freely. At home you should feel, taste, touch, smell and see all these things. I appreciate and thank Habitat for Humanity for giving lots of people true homes.
