My Home

Home. Home is a place where I feel loved, I feel happy, I feel calm, and I feel safe. When I’ve had a tough day or things aren’t going my way, I want to go home. Home is not just a building, or a house, home is a family, a community. Home is somewhere I feel loved and home is somewhere I feel safe, and calm, home is a place where I feel happy. There are some bad days and some good days at home, but I know every night there will be food on the table, and a family that loves me and a bed to sleep in. My room has purple walls because the colour purple makes me feel calm. I have a queen size bed so I can stretch out when I’m sleeping. In my room I have a fish, clothes and books. I have a mirror so I can check out my looks. In my kitchen there is food so we can bake and cook, there are forks and knives, plates to put our meals on, and chairs to sit around the table as a family. Enjoying the company that we bring. When I have been to school then I walk home. When I open the front door I can smell dinner on the stove. I can feel a gust of wind mixed with love once I am inside. Once I am inside I go to the living room which connects to the kitchen. The kitchen is where I feel the most loved. It always smells like something with the secret ingredient which is love. The living room is where I feel the most safe. Everybody is almost always there. Home is a place where I feel loved, I feel happy, and I feel safe. Home.
