Meaning of Home

Dear home, Thank you for giving me a cozy and warm home to live in. Thank you for giving me shelter when it rains, or snows outside. I'm so grateful for my home, because some people don't get to have a safe and cozy home. I'm grateful that my mom cooks my favourite meals, but the one she makes the most is soup. It always smells so good! When I go to my parents' room, my cat Charlie is always there to greet me. Sometimes at night I watch movies with my family in the living room. My home isn't a house. A house is boring and empty, but a home is a place where there’s hard times, and happy times. It always makes me happy when I hear my family laugh. I'm so grateful for all the photos in my living room. It's mostly me and my brother. Everyday I wake up feeling so happy and thankful that I have a home. Whenever I'm feeling down, sad, or mad, I always feel my cat's fluffy fur and he always purrs and meows. It always makes me happier. My home is a place where I can cry, be angry, have honesty, and love myself. I'm thankful for my home being my safe space because some people don't have a safe space. That's why I'm very thankful for my home.
