What Home Means To Me

People think Home is walls a roof, a basement , stairs, bedrooms, kitchen, and of course, bathrooms. But I have learned that a home is not a home without people. A true home is filled with laughs, tears and memories. I think home is a the one place that has it’s doors always open when you need a safe space. The fun living-room, comfy bed, warm meals, open arms, loads of love, no fears and always feeling appreciated. HOME is what comes to mind when you’re tired, hurt, lost or sad or happy. Home is where no one makes fun of you and doesn’t make you feel small or useless. I love my home because it is where I learned to love, walk, speak, care and right and wrong. HOME taught me to respect elders and to help. HOME taught me to be nice to all and to share. Home is where I learned that mother’s heart is bigger than the house that you live in. I feel like home is not just a place where you live, but it's what you have in your heart. It’s the people you love, the things you learn, the prayers that protect you. I could go to any place in the world and I would still have my home with me. My home has shown me that my father worries and works hard for us and my mom turns our tears into smiles. If you ask me, Home is Where I can hug my mom 100 times a day and feel good warm fuzzy feeling inside. I love my home and I miss it when I’m away. Home means that everything’s possible and never give-up. I’m grateful for being lucky enough to have a home filled with love, family and Allah.
