Where we grew, inside and out.

Home is unexplainable, all the memories I have, have been created there. Whether the memories were made back in Cuba, or in Canada now. The laughter, hugs, kisses, and most importantly; the memories, all helped create who I am today. There is a difference between a house and a home, a house is just a few walls and a roof, a home is a place where you find family, peace, comfort and safety. At home, I feel safe, loved, belonging, and surrounded by people I love, and that love me. Think of it like this; HOME: H- heartwarming O- overjoyed M- mindful E- empathy. This is what home means to me, yet it's not explained quite well enough. I cannot begin to explain everything home means to me, with such little as 300 words. No matter how cold the world gets, stepping through the front door makes all those worries disappear. The sound of family laughing, the smell of dinner, and the feeling of my family's hugs tell me I'm exactly where I belong. Even if the house was empty, the walls would still hold the warmth of every happy moment we spent there. When you walk through the halls you can see every happy moment my family has spent together, from my brother and I being born, to our latest birthday pictures. Home is a special place where my family and I make our best memories every single day. To me, home is where my heart feels most calm. I am always surrounded by the simple comforts that turn a house into the safest place, where everyone feels they belong. Home is a warm hug for your soul you can feel even when you're far away, a hug you never want to end.
