The Meaning of Home

For me the meaning of home is love, family, laughing and a place where you feel safe. When I’m home I can be myself, like being crazy! When I walk in my home, I feel relaxed and safe from dangers. I make memories, yes, I make memories everywhere, but these ones are different, special. I am respected at home. When people walk in my home, they should feel welcomed and respected. I love my home a lot. My parents try to keep it clean, safe, and nice. I love coming home and seeing my family's faces smiling after a tough day. My parents make me feel better. When I’m home I’m loved. My family cares about me a lot. My sister gives me the best hugs inside my home. My home is warm and that's a nice feeling. When I walk in my home I see happiness. My family happy together forever. I’m happier when I get home from any type of school day. Home is there for me; it's like it gets me even if it's not a living thing. When I come home from a big trip I’m really excited to just come in and see my house. I love being in my home. It's always here, it’s hard to break, it's your safe zone. My home feels like eating warm cookies fresh from the oven when it’s a cold day out. For me, family is home. Whoever thought of the idea of Habitat for Humanity must be a brilliant person. I think everyone should have a home, so they have a chance to have those same experiences.
