What Home really Means to me
Home isn't just a shelter or a building where somebody lives. It isn’t a place to store your things or your toys. Home to me is warmth, family and memories.
When I'm home I feel warmth. On the weekends I like to drive up to my cottage to sit around my campfire as I toast my marshmallows golden brown. Other times me and my family like to cuddle up and watch a movie as we snuggle and talk. Sometimes my mom and I like to cook food like pasta or soup. When we cook we make sure to smell all the sensations around the room. If I feel warmth that’s how I know I'm home
Family is home to me. When I get home from school everyday I see my dog waiting and jumping for me at the window as I get off the bus. It fills me to the brim with joy knowing my dog loves me that much. After dinner we get together and like to play Nintendo. It's so much fun getting to compete together. Lastly, me and my mom like to bake treats for my family. When they try it their faces lit up with all these sensations. Home and Family is where I feel accepted
Home is where I make memories that last forever. I remember getting my dog for the first time and how fluffy his fur was.And when I made a snowman with my brother, we had a great time. Lastly, when I was first moving into my new house I was scared of leaving home but after a while I found another place I could feel at home.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving people a place where they can feel these and more.
