Home is a Place I will Never Forget

Home could never be destroyed, it keeps the people you love safe and cared for. Home isn’t just a structure, it leads to filling your heart with love. Home is family, being grateful, and warmth. My family is what makes me know I’m home, even if I'm not home. My family encourages me to keep going when life gets harder, they let me know that they will always be there for me through everything. I can hear the laughing throughout our jokes, our crazy moments, and the laughs that will stay in our home forever. My fluffy dog waits by the door wondering when I will get home and as soon as I walk in the door I’m greeted with huge smiles. Family makes us realize, our hardest moments won’t be as bad if we have the people we love by our side. I will always be grateful for the things I have, such as being stuffed at the dinner table with mouthwatering food, or being able to be secure with a roof over my head. Every year on my birthday I get to have a celebration that makes me feel supported, with balloons, people cheering, and singing for me. As I wake up hungry, I smell the food cooking and feel excited to eat. When I feel warm on the inside and outside, I know it’s good. I have a soft fuzzy blanket that I lay with in bed with the feeling of a warm heart. I love when my family and I sit by the fireplace with warm hot chocolate. That is why I would never forget my home, thank you Habitat for Humanity for making people realize you shouldn't take home for granted.
