Home is a piece of love

Home is not just a shelter, home is also a feeling. Home is a place that you should be grateful for. Home is a place that feels like love, family, and security. Home feels like love. When I get off the school bus my mom is always there to walk with us back home. She smiles when she picks me up from any activity. My family always brings up cheerful news and smiles. I feel love when they smile and when they are there for me. Like when I’m feeling down, or if I’m hurt, they always figure a way to make me laugh. That's how I know for sure that they love me. Family makes me feel like home. When I was at a tournament, my family was there to cheer for me, and said “Good job” even if I made a mistake or if we lost. My dad wouldn't be there to watch me because he works with all his strength to make sure we have enough money for our programs we sign up for and our bills. When we play board games and watch movies we would all play as a family and do it together. They make me feel at home. Home is a safe place you can always return to. When I am home I can be myself and I won’t be judged. Home is like that feeling that knows who you are. Home is like the place that protects you from things you’re afraid of. Maybe it won’t always, but there’s still people there for you if you’re scared. Home will never be a building. Home will always be waiting for you to come and keep you safe. Home’s always there for you.
