The Right Words

What is home? Is it a building? I don’t think so. Because I know what home is, we all do but what we don’t know are those wonderful words to describe it. We could say it’s a place where you feel joy, where you can be yourself, and that would work but it’s not enough. Home is the only place in the world where you can be free to remember the past and not be ashamed of what you’ve done. Home is that solid ground under your feet making sure you’re safe. There is no pain at home because at home we love and are loved and love conquers all pain and grief. Home is also where my ideas are not ignored but encouraged. I can always find someone really interested in what I have to say. At home there are no expectations of me to be perfect, I can play and sing from my heart and not be embarrassed. Home can be described as a building or a feeling. Both are wonderful. This is what home means to me and what it has been for me!
