Home means Family to Me

For me, home is a safe zone. It acts like a base where I get help from. Home is also a place where I share my feelings. Where my emotions are seen and heard. Whenever I’m hurt, my eyes talk for me. Home is a place for me and my family to make new memories. Home is where I smell my mom’s delicious food, where my dad teases me and my sister, and where my sister fights with me. Home is a place of warmth. For some people, home is just money and expensive stuff; however, for me, home is my family. Home is where I find comfort, where I can be myself and there’s nobody judging me. I feel I have freedom. At dinnertime, I share stories and new things I learnt at school. Even though sometimes my sister does something that I don’t like, I forgive her and forget about it. At home there is unconditional love and acceptance. Last thing, I used to live in a country named “Mauritius’’. Then I had to move to the UAE, and I lived there for about 4 weeks. After that I moved to India and lived there for 5 months. Finally, I arrived in Canada. I moved places many times, but one thing moved with me everywhere I went to is - HOME. Because HOME is wherever I’m with my FAMILY.
