Meaning of Home
What home means to me. Home is memories, memories of waking up on Christmas morning exited to open gifts, running to our parent's rooms and waking them up, the smell of turkey on Thanksgiving, or the smell of your favorite dinner. A house is a place where you live, a house is shelter, they have walls, roofs, a floor, but home has family, pets, care, memories. A house is empty, it may have lights, or a kitchen but no memories of baking with friends and family or blowing out candles on your birthday. No memories of waking up and being exited to go on a family trip, a home has those memories of cooking with family or having your first sleepover. A memory I have is making a home at my nana’s, I visit her and stay there, I make memories, it feels like a home there with family, going out to eat or going to the beach. A home isn't just a building, it can be a place, a beach near your home or a restaurant you go to, your home can be where you grow up, or where you live with memories of that area. In the end home means memories, family, friends, memories make a house a home.
