Homemade Chaos

My father and older brother start the fire outside, while I set the chairs around our fire. My mother prepares the food, then me and my siblings help bring it outside. My father has already gotten our roasting sticks ready, and we start to cook our wieners over the fire, my mother nearly having a heart attack from how clumsy we are. Me and my siblings load our plates up with the food my mom had made and sit down to eat as a family. We all burst into laughter at each other's jokes, I nearly choke on my food… After dinner we decided to play tackle baseball! The ball is thrown by my sister and the bat is swung by my brother; as he hits the ball he sprints. My sisters and I run after him, not nearly fast enough, though my father catches up and tackles him! My parents grow tired so we settle on ending the game after fun, laughter, and being close together with family. I hug my parents goodnight and dive into the blankets on my bed, but stay up late playing games with friends. I can hear my dad snoring loudly from next door, but after I make a loud thump and his snores quiet, I freeze; slowly creeping my back into bed and doing something more quiet. Eventually, like the end of every other day, I fall asleep, happy with the day. Maybe it wasn’t the best, but it was definitely spent well with my family and friends and enjoyable.
