What Home Means to Me

Home to me is a place where you feel loved and safe, like you don’t need to be scared to tell the people you care about how you feel. Sometimes when people hear the word home they think about their house or the place that you live but to me it means so much more. When people say the word home to me it makes me think about my mom and dad and how much I love them. I also think about my cat and dog. They always know when I am feeling sad or hurt. They are what make my house feel like my home, and even the simplest things like watching TV, playing board games, and even just laughing with my family are what makes my house feel like a true home! But the one really unfortunate thing is that for children all over the world this isn’t the case, the children live in poverty with no families and people to care about them, and the few of those children that do have families live in fear, hate, abuse and other terrible things. So when I grow up I’m going to try my absolute best to give every child a lovable home so they can feel what an actual home feels like, and looks like.
