My Home, Not My House
When I walk into my home I think of all the memories I've made there. I think of all the people it shelters. I think of all the things it provides like a place to sleep, eat, and live. That's how I know that it’s my home, not my house. It’s not just a place to live in, it's a place that holds all my family’s love inside. That’s how I know it’s my home, not my house. When I look around my home I don’t see a place full of stuff I see a warm welcoming place full of love. That’s how I know it’s my home, not my house. Seeing my family laughing, caring for eachother, and sharing the love all around. Taking care of our home and cleaning it shows that they are very thankful that we have a roof over our head. That’s how I know it’s my home not my house.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building houses for people in need. I think that you were very smart to come up with this great idea. I look up to you and what you do. It's not fair that some don’t have enough money to buy a house and still have to pay the bills and put food on the table. I always feel so bad for the people on the street in need of shelter, so thank you for your work.
