What Is Home?

A home is not just a building with a bunch of walls, a roof and a door with windows, it's far more than that. It's a place where warmth and love truly dwells and embraces from the heart and mind, shared from one person to another. Do you remember those times when the whole house feels empty and you lay down on bed and think about what you can do? At that point does it really feel like home? In my opinion, as much as the building is important, it cannot be called home without the people in it. In homes, everyone has a part they play. Imagine everyone in your family and then think about what role they play. Imagine the father on his favorite couch on a well fitted living room with the children sitting all around him by the fireplace embracing warmth as the family dog is curling by their feet and the father tells his lifetime stories (that cozy feeling) and the mother in an apron inside a beautiful kitchen passing out dishes onto the dining room (that irresistible aroma from homemade dishes, Mother is the best) Suddenly, the washroom is calling, you need that comfort to enjoy those meals. Do not even think less about the bedroom, you would need it after that sumptuous dinner. No part is more or less important. Give me a skyscraper, a paradise or even the whole of Disney World for a home, I would still ask for my family in it because a home is not just a place you live in but a sanctuary of hope and love. If you must call it home, it should feel more than a building with four walls and a door.
