Habitat for Humanity

Home means more than just chaos. It is a special place for every family. It is something unique that binds family together. There can be laughter, sadness and excitement, but what my family has is love! My home is special because it lets us have a strong bond with each other and everyone deserves to have a home that they feel safe in. I know when I wake up in the morning, how loved I am and that when I go to bed and I wake up in the morning, I’m still loved. Even if I do something I'm not supposed to, they still love me. I’m so lucky to have pets because I live in a home, they can play outside in the yard that we have. My pets make me feel safe because if something scary happens I know that I can hug them and they will keep me company until it's over. I can play with them and they will not bite me, bark or growl at me. I can trick Diesel and he will sit there waiting for me to throw his ball and if I run with him and fall, he will come running back and wait for me to get up. Diesel makes me feel safe and when I'm crying Diesel will come up and sit on my bed crying with me when I feel sad sometimes. Sometimes I give Diesel tummy rubs and he enjoys it so much. Family night is special because it gives you time to talk to your family and have nice conversations with them and I feel like I can talk about my troubles that I have and we can talk about our day and that we all have troubles that we all need to talk about. They will try to help me with them and that we can have quality time together and have movie nights, game nights and much much more in our home. Having fun is the best opportunity to laugh and run around. My dad will sometimes, if we are lucky, take us on snowmobile rides, four wheeler rides and sometimes we will have snowball fights and build a snowman and snow forts together at home. We will play online games together in our home. Having a backyard to play in is so special. I can only hope that other families have one too. Home is safe because it protects you from the cold and from animals that can hurt you. Home makes you feel protected from things that can hurt you. Home is a place where you can run to when you don’t feel safe or if you don’t feel comfortable with the people you hang out with or when you feel threatened by someone you always have a place to run to when that happens.
