Habitat for Humanity

The outside world is scary. It is judging, it is hard, it is annoying, and it could make you feel insecure or scared of what people think, but home is where you escape. It is where you escape the people that judge the book by its cover, and where you can feel safe. Home is where you escape reality, and the emotions that overtake you. A house does not have much meaning. A house is just a plain old building, it is just a place where people live. But a home, home is where you feel unconditional love, and safety. Home is a place of confidence and comfort. Home is a place where you can speak your own creative mind and feel comfortable about it. Home is where you feel welcomed with open loving arms by the people you love most. Home is where you hear the rain on the roof top go tip tap while you snuggle up with family on the cozy couch. Home is when you curl up into a velvety soft blanket and watch a movie with friends. Home is a place where you decrease stress and release love. home is love and laughter. Home is where you belong. A House is where you eat, but a home is where you cook freshly baked cookies on Christmas eve as you eat the cookie dough behind your mom’s back giggling. A house has a roof, walls, windows, floors, and doors, but really, it is a lot more. A house is a home, but a home not just a house. Having a place to go is a house. Having someone to love is a family. Having both is a home. There is no place like home.
