Home

Home is where you can feel safe. It can be a creaky, rusting treehouse or an enormous and fancy mansion. No matter where your home is, home is a safe place. Safety in a home means many things. It could mean living with or near people who can protect you, or it could mean you have a roof and a decent amount of walls to keep you sheltered. I’ve lived in my house for nine years and I’ve never been endangered in it, which makes me feel safe. Home is also where you are loved. It can be under an awning on the side of the street or a gigantic castle built for a king/queen. No matter where you call home, you must be loved. By loved I could mean you have company; someone to share special moments with. You might even have a small pet to snuggle during the cold, scary and dark nights. I am lucky to have a very loving mother, brother and father who share my home. Safety and love are what make a home a home.
