The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home for me is being able to laugh for hours and talk for hours with loved ones. Where you laugh and play and cannot stop talking. Home is where you feel warm, like you are in a nice warm bed, feeling comfortable, able to feel safe and loved as well. Home is when I am eating my mom’s delicious food, the inviting smell of the amazing food cooking right when I get home from school is astonishing. Home is coming home to have long talks with my family, like talking about the day or talking about how sports went. Home is when I go watch my brother’s soccer games cheering him on, seeing him smile when he hears me cheering for his team. Home is when I hear my family cheering from the stands while I am on the ice playing a game. Home is where I get home and give my dad a big hug telling him how my day went and asking him how his was too. For me that is the meaning of home, and it means more than the world to me.
