Malik's Home Poem

Home is a kingdom where family rules. This kingdom is a place where you never feel like fools. Where your family has love for you, that is worth more than one hundred jewels. Where siblings can be tools but you know, for you they still care. A place where your mom is as sweet as a pear and where your dad is as kind as a hare. No memories disappear into thin air, the kingdom holds them close with care. When I try to catch a pike, when I play basketball and feel like Mike. It's with my family. It never feels lonely when I help my parents make poultry. It's never lonely when I'm watching Disney with my siblings or chilling with my kitty. When I'm dreaming of being a pixie I know I'm safe. Not everyone has that. When we play games like UNO while sitting on a pillow, that's a feeling that is unforgettable. We can have arguments that seem unforgivable, but it all disappears when we watch Mulan become honorable. Home is all this and more to me. Home is a dependable place and if it gets misplaced then you feel unsafe. Habitat for humanity is a blessing, a blessing that provides housing. And housing is the foundation of home.
