What Home Means to Me

The meaning of the word home looks different for everyone as some may see the home as just a building while others see it as more than its structure but as a feeling. As for me, I see my home is wherever I'm with my family. My home is my sanctuary, the ultimate place for relaxation and contentment. My family is the firm foundation of what makes my home a home, especially knowing that I am properly cared for in a clean and safe environment. My humble abode radiates with happiness all thanks to the loving souls that make up my family. My mother has a picture hanging in our home that says, “home is where the heart is”, for me that provides a sense of connection, love, security, and comfort. The connection and love that is filled within my home provides me with security to know that I am safe, happy and will forever be filled with memories. I always look forward to the joy of being home because I am reminded of the constant blessings that flow through the halls, the sound of laughter and the smell of the delicious food being prepared. Being in the presence of my home allows me to widen my horizon, fill my soul with hope and let my imagination grow wild. My home is enriched with memories, values and love that will help shape me into being a stellar young man as I grow older. For me home is the reminder of family and love.
