Home is where happiness is

I feel the sun, softly leaking through the window as I try to wake. I sometimes think that this amazing life is fake. I don’t know what I would do, without this home, As I start to go through my hair with a comb. As I get up and out of my room, I know that I am loved, I am my family’s beloved. I walk up to the entrance door, Feeling the heat of the hardwood floor. I breathe in the delicious smell of my mom’s cooking, then I walk over to the living room, and start looking, for my naughty little sister who is always in a good mood, Always playing with something whenever she could. As I go to the backyard, to take a breath of fresh air, My mom asked me if I would like to eat a pear. As I munch on my snack, I think of when I grow up, when I will have to turn my back, to this house I loved the most. We all know we’ll be back, to our home, or maybe our humble shack. All of us have some doubts, about the world where we all sometimes want to pout. Home is where we are safe, where we all have somewhere to hide from the rain, so we won’t get soaked in vain. Somewhere where we won’t feel pain. Home is where the happiness is. A place that we’ll always miss. Home is the best. The best of the rest.
