What Home Means to Me

Home means a happy family in a happy house where you're safe and you're not alone. Family is there to guide and help you when you need it. Family is important because they are there when you're sad and they are there when you're happy. When your family is hurt, they push themselves to make everyone in the family happy and calm. When I was little I didn't have the best life. I had a father that wasn't the best. He hurts my mom and he hurts my family. He made us sad and took dr*** which was not ok. He stole from people that he didn't know. We lived in a treehouse that was broken beside an abandoned house which scared me. I was only two and my brother was only three. One time my dad pushed my brother down the stairs when he was only two. I was only one when that happened. Then my mom finally had enough and broke up with him. He was sent to jail while my mom was at the hospital having my sister. Now I live with a puppy, my new dad, my mom, my brother and my two sisters. Clearly my home now is a great place where I make memories with my new family where we are all loved and cared for and we are not forgotten or hurt. The memories that we make are special to my family. When I go to bed I go to bed crying because of what happened. I think that's going to happen to me again but then I remember my home is a safe place where I won't get touched or hurt. This is why home is so important to me.
