The Meaning of Home

In my opinion, a home is one of the best things in life, but a home is way more different than a house. To me, home means a lot. What does home mean to you? A home might mean where you feel good inside, where you feel your best or where you won’t ever be judged. Everyone deserves a home. Don’t you think everyone should feel welcome and good about having a home? My home is very important to me, and probably the same for you. A house is just a house, but a home is the best thing ever. A house can turn into a home very easily, and home is one of the most precious things. Most people have a house, and the majority of them have homes. Some common things that make a house a home might be the memories that will be made or made already, the people there in your home, and your belongings. Your memories of your past are special. The people like your parents, siblings and friends in the house make it a home as well. They make you happy. You have belongings in your home, right? The belongings may be family photos, albums, and maybe the furniture. Your family photos help you remember your past. The furniture might be bought in other people’s homes, but they’re now in your home. There are more than 3 things that make a house a home, but these are probably the most popular to me. My home is really special to me, and probably is special to you too. You should have things in your home that are important to you, and it’s the same for me. Some things that make my home important to me are photo albums, my room and my tablet. The photo albums are important to me because in my opinion, they bring back the memories of my past. My room is important to me because my room is my happy place. My room has so many things, there are gifts from people and my baby photos. My tablet is one of the last things that are important to me, because again, I have so many memories on that single tablet. In my opinion, everyone has different things that are important to them in their home, but these are mine. Can you imagine not having a house, and not even a home? There are people that don't have a home. If I had a chance to give everyone in the world a home, I would, because I think everyone deserves one. I think everyone deserves a home, because I just can’t imagine not having a warm and cozy place to sleep every night like I have now. I personally think most people would agree with me, do you? As you read, you should’ve realized that a home is way more special than just a house. At the start, you might’ve thought that a home is the same as a house, but hopefully I changed your mind. My home means so much to me, and your home probably means more to you now. Some people right now still don’t have a house, and most likely not even a home, but the Habitat for Humanity tries to change that as much as they can. We think everyone deserves a home, so that’s what we try to make happen.
