Meaning of Home

Home is a place I feel safe, For me, it’s a place to invision, a creative domain that is not fiction Home is my family, My dad’s snacks and my Mom’s meals, those are some sweet deals! But, home is not some rubble that causes trouble, home is not leaving and fleeing Home is a place to feel free and no judgment for you and me! Home is not a place for worry and fear, That it is a feeling that should disappear Home is that picture you made when you were five, in the exact same spot it had arrived The rumbling, the pouring of breakfast in the morning and home is that, not just the food, it is the compassion made for you! A house is too clean, too spacious even, it lacks the clutter that gives it meaning A home is not just a room as some people learn oh too soon No shelter for some, not one room, and not even a bed and oh… the dread of not knowing where your next meal is from, That is where Habitat for Humanity comes along! Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving people the chance they need to live and breathe. Poem By: Victoria B
