A Home is a Home but a House is not a Home

A home is not just bricks and walls but it is also where I grow up tall. When we walk through the hall we have to make sure to dodge the balls. Home is where I climb the walls “like a monkey my mom calls”. Home is where I feel safe with a kitchen that smells like a cafe with my mom baking all day. Home is sledding down the stairs with the wind blowing in my hair. A house has a new chair smell but home all you hear is laughter and the ringing of a doorbell as family floods the halls. A house is filled with furniture but a home is filled with memories, silliness and fun. Thank you to Habitat for humanity for making sure that everybody has a home and a house where they feel safe.
